Deposit

 We are now going to start requiring a $50 deposit to hold your date.

If you are booking us for a large event, we will FAX you a contract. 

Please read the following Terms of Hire to completely understand all of our policies.

 


 

Terms of Hire

  1. Payment is due the day of the event. Payment may be cash or check. Sorry, no credit cards. Returned checks will be subject to a minimum $25.00 returned check fee and up to the maximum allowed under FL law.

  2. Deposit:  The $20 deposit is non-refundable FOR ANY REASON unless the party is canceled due to verified bad weather the day of the party. Deposit may be applied to a reschedule date based on the Contractor's availability.  Please read our Bad Weather Policy below.

  3. Dog Policy:  Please keep all dogs inside or put away for the duration of the event. If there is a loose dog, the pony will be stopped until the dog is put away. Excited dogs charging the pony, nipping the pony's heels, etc. are a SERIOUS safety hazard. This is for the safety of the children and the dog.

  4. Weight Limit for the ponies is as follows:  Rocky, 60lbs;  Cooper, 100lbs;  Jack, 130lbs;  Pablo, 200lbs;  Blueberry, 200lbs.  It is up to the discretion of the PPP attendant to determine if a child is able to ride the pony/ponies available.

  5. Double Riding:  There is ABSOLUTELY NO double riding.  This is a serious safety risk.

  6. Working Surfaces:  Pony may work on grass, dirt, sidewalk, tarmac but NOT on rocks, sand or steep slopes.  Ponies cannot work on any area that has been chemically treated (fertilizer or insecticide) within the past 7 days due to the danger to the animals.

  7. Petting Zoo Requirements:  Please inform Pony Party Plus if the location of the event does not have large shade trees available to set the petting zoo under. We can provide, at no additional charge, a large canopy to go over the petting zoo for the comfort of the children and animals. 

    Petting Zoo must be set up on grass.  If the petting zoo needs to be set up on a hard surface (ie. concrete or asphalt), there will be an additional $30 fee for the hay and clean-up.  

    Petting zoo cannot be set up on any area that has been chemically treated (fertilizer or insecticide) within the past 7 days due to the danger to the animals.

  8. Hand Washing/Sanitation:  Pony Party Plus supplies hand-sanitizer at all events.  Please make soap and water available for all guests in addition to the sanitizer.  

  9. Eating/Drinking/Toys:  There is ABSOLUTELY NO eating or drinking in or around the petting zoo or during the Hands-On Reptile Encounter.  This applies to the children and the adults at the party.

    There are no toys, loveys, pacifiers, sippy cups or bottles allowed in or around the petting zoo or during the Hands-On Reptile Encounter.

  10. Wet Bathing Suits:  If you are also having a water slide / pool party on the day of your event, please make sure that all of the children are dry before riding the pony. Wet bathing suits will not be allowed on the saddle.

  11. Clean Up:  Pony Party Plus is responsible for the removal of any and all feces from the animals.


  12. BAD WEATHER POLICY:  Pony Party Plus verifies weather the night before and the morning of each event day at www.baynews9.com. Pony Party Plus will not perform outdoors in heavy rain or lightning. Client may reschedule (deposit applied to new date and pending availability) or cancel due to verified bad weather (deposit refunded).

If it is raining on the day of your event, Pony Party Plus will call to verify if we should still come. If you should cancel at that time, there is no additional fee due. The $20 deposit is refunded in full due to bad weather. If you tell Pony Party Plus to come and THEN you cancel after Pony Party Plus has already arrived at your event, there will be a $100 late cancellation fee due and the deposit is non refundable.

Day of the Event:  If the Client contacts Contractor no later than 7:30am on the day of the event, on Contractor's direct line (cell phone #813-390-3646), speaking in person to the Pony Party Plus representative (not just leaving a message), then Client may choose one of these options:

      1. Cancel - $20 deposit refunded with bad weather verified by Pony Party Plus, per definition above.
      2. Reschedule based on Contractor's availability, deposit will be applied to the new date.

Interrupting an Event on Event Day:  In the case of rain or lightning interrupting a party, the original booking fee will be due in full, with original ending time remaining the same.

If it should be raining:

Pony Party Plus can set up a canopy over the petting zoo.
We will work the pony / ponies in a light rain.
The Hands-On Reptile Encounter can be moved to a garage or patio.

 



 

After we receive your deposit, you will be mailed a copy of the above.  This is for your records.  We will bring another along on the day of the event for you to sign.
