Noah's Ark - TRUST/SAFETY

SAFETY IS FIRST AT Noah's Ark on Wheels. We pride ourselves as being a safe, licensed, clean petting farm, and we bring that safety to you when you hire us. In 10 years we have never had a problem.

WHY? BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY MEASURES WE HAVE IN PLACE. ALL CLIENTS MUST DO THERE PART IN ADHERING TO THESE RULES AS IT WILL STATE IN YOUR CONTRACT.

PETTING ZOO PRECAUTIONS:

#1 WE SANITIZE EACH AND EVERY HAND BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE PETTING RING.
It is not an option! If given an option to wash, some people,especially young children, will "forget" or worse, be "complacent" about it. Since diseases come from germs, germs need to be killed. Antibacterial soap and water is best, and we require that every customer that books us provide a place to wash near our zoo's set up area. Bathrooms are great!

HOWEVER, WE PROVIDE THE ANTI BACTERIAL HAND GEL FOR EVERYONE'S HANDS. Our attendant stands at the gate and dispenses it for each child to rub all over BEFORE leaving the petting ring. NO IFS, ANDS OR BUTS! NO ONE GETS BY, UNTIL THEY SANITIZE!

E-COLI---Everyone carries e-coli in their bodies! Getting sick from e-coli bacteria happens 95% of the time from undercooked meat. In petting zoos, it comes from cows, 99% of the time. WE DO NOT HAVE COWS.

Use Common sense:

If you use the bathroom, wash your hands!
If you pet any animals, wash your hands!
If you are in a public play area, wash your hands!
If you are sick, wash your hands!

#2 WE CLEAN ALL DEBRIS FROM THE ANIMALS BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE PETTING TIME. We want you to have a "poop free" petting experience! But animals aren't potty trained, so we use our scooper to clean up the 'pebbles' as they occur. This is a good safety measure for all!

#3 WE DO NOT ALLOW FOOD, DRINK, PACIFIERS OR BABY BOTTLES IN THE PETTING ARENA. Sharing food and drinks with animals is not a good idea. It can lead to aggressive tactics to get the food in animals.
Our animals have been fed before they arrive and have a bale of hay to eat during the zoo time. We don't allow outside food, for your safety and our animals safety.

#4 CHILDREN UNDER FOUR MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT.
We all know that babies and young children put their fingers in their mouths frequently. It's part of their development pattern. We just don't want that to mix with petting animals! So if a child is not old enough to understand this concept, they need to be held and watched closely. Babies should not be brought into the zoo, if at all possible. Our attendant is there to facilitate the fun, ensure safety, and sanitize hands during and especially after the petting time is over at the gate. Your eyes on your young child helps too!

We do not drop off our ponies, let other adults handle them (other than our handlers), or let any child ride alone.

Noah's Ark on Wheels knows that moms and dads like to introduce their toddlers and babies to ponies. Thankfully, we have the sweetest, tamest, ponies anywhere! Petting them is fine. However, if a child cannot hold on and balance themselves on the pony, they are too young to get a pony ride. Generally, children age four can accomplish this. Those who are still "wobbly" may have a parent hold them as we walk slowly. Babies and toddlers may sit for pictures, but generally are not allowed to ride the pony. All rides are at the handlers discretion. We want everyone to stay safe. In addition, we ask that you familiarize yourself with the FLORIDA EQUINE ACTIVITIES LAW stated below:

Please don't let the Florida release waiver scare you. In 10 years, we've never had any incidents with ponies whatsoever! The law was designed for those facilities that have children and adults ride by themselves. As you know, we give adult led rides.

Payment- We accept cash or checks. Sorry no credit cards. Payment is due in full the day of your event.

Grassy, shady area- We require the zoo to be set up on a grassy area with shade for the comfort of your guests and our animals. If it is blustery, cool day, then sunshine is best! If no grass is available, we can put down bedding; but there is an extra 30.00 charge as we will need to allow more clean up time to haul it away.

Cancellation policy- We are booked many months in advance. Cancellations must be for inclement weather only on the day of the party, or full price is still due. Inclement weather is verified rain or hail. You must call before we leave our farm with direct contact with owner. Other Cancellations can be made without penalty, three weeks before your event. That may or may not be enough time to book a replacement, as we book two months in advance in most instances, but we feel it is fair.

Bad Weather Interruption --If your party is started and we are interrupted by rain, we can try to wait it out, move to a garage, etc. Full price is still due.

WE WILL BOOK IT OVER THE PHONE ONCE YOU ARE SURE OF YOUR EVENT'S DATE AND TIME. I WILL SEND YOU A CONTRACT VIA EMAIL, IT'S THAT SIMPLE!
