A Bit of History
My name is Patti Kleven. My husband and I have been married for 31 years and we have two grown daughters, a son-in-law and and a granddaughter. Our dogs are our pets always, and our show dogs on some weekends. I have grown up showing dogs and have been actively involved in corgis since 1992.
Our goals
We breed a litter very occasionally (usually about once every two years). Our dogs are all tested for health clearances including OFA Hip and Elbow, vWd (vonWildebrand's disease), DM (degenerative mylopothy), Cardiac (heart), CERF (eye) and even coat length (fluff factor or not) prior to breeding. My goal is to produce well-bred healthy dogs that live as beloved housepets. Some of our puppies will grow up to become show dogs in conformation and/or performance events. However, my goal is to place ALL of our puppies in homes where they will be primarily loved and appreciated forever as a family pet.
Our expectations for puppy buyers
For anyone considering purchasing a puppy, we ask that you plan a visit to our home so we can get to know you first. We do not ship puppies and puppies are sold on a strict spay-neuter contract. We welcome our puppy buyers into our family and we keep contact with our dog families for the life of their dogs and even beyond. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in our dogs, or need more information on the Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
