Lismore Pembrokes
Lismore Pembrokes started in 1992 with the acquisition of our first Pembroke Welsh Corgi, BIS/BISS AM/CanCh M-Candol's Lacey Britches, HT, ROM. "Lacey" was the show dog of my dreams and the foundation for all the dogs here at Lismore.

Lacey Britches
Lacey was my first corgi and my first "real" show dog. I had shown dogs before Lacey came along, but none to the level of success that I had with Lacey Britches. Lacey was my first AKC Champion and my first All-Breed Best in Show dog. She earned her championship when she was two years old and earned her first Best in Show award, just a few months later at two and a half. She earned a specialty Best in Show from the veteran classwhen she was 11 years old. At age ten, we decided to try herding and Lacey quickly earned her HT title, without much training and with a novice handler (me) that didn't really know what I was doing! She was also the dam of my first litter. Her first litter of puppies produced three champions and her second litter of puppies produced two champions, which earned her a ROM award. She gave me everything I ever asked of her. In every venue we tried, Lacey came thru and gave me her best. I was lucky to have her with our family for more than 13 years. She was my "heart" dog. We always worked together and she never let me down. She is gone now, but lives on thru her offspring here. On the following pages, I hope to introduce you to our Lismore corgis, past and present, all descendants of Lacey Britches.
