If I had to describe Clint Wright in one word, I would call him dedicated. Clint relentlessly pursues fishing on Lake Fork with unparalleled passion. To say that Clint is obsessed with largemouth bass would be a huge understatement. I know for a fact that when Clint’s not guiding clients, he’s out fishing in his spare time. Clint hits the water hard, not just because he loves fishing, but also because he wants his clients to have the best fishing trip possible. Conditions and patterns change quickly on Lake Fork. Daily or sometimes hourly changes are not unusual. Clint strives to keep himself up-to-date on all the hotspots and latest strategies, but he’s no stranger to the “tried and true” methods that produce giant Lake Fork bass. One thing that makes Clint such a good guide is his flexibility to adapt as the fishing changes. He’s always striving to be one step ahead of the fish – and most of the time he is!

Clint Wright grew up fishing Lake Fork and his experience on the lake clearly shows. Whether it’s spawning fish, deepwater patterns, or moonlight lunkers, Clint always seems to have an intuitive sense of where the fish are, and what they’re feeding on. I have always been impressed with Clint’s desire to increase his knowledge of all things related to fishing. I’ve had many mealtime conversations with Clint on topics ranging from fish behavior, to aquatic vegetation, to water chemistry. Between bites of some Oakridge Restaurant burgers, we answer each other’s questions. I must admit that I’ve learned more about bass fishing on Lake Fork from Clint than from anyone else.

One of the things I’ve enjoyed the most about fishing with Clint Wright is his patience and demeanor. Even if the fishing is slow, I know I can always count on a good conversation and lots of laughs while in Clint’s boat.

The best bass I’ve ever caught came while night-fishing with Clint in June 2007. To this day, I’m convinced that he was just as excited when we landed that fish as I was.

Clint Wright treats his customers with dignity and respect, qualities that many guides these days seem to be lacking. I know that if you book a trip with Clint, he’ll work diligently to provide you with the best fishing experience possible, and you’ll enjoy a great day on the lake. Hopefully, you too will catch a “personal best” like I did while fishing with Clint Wright.

What a great experience!! To say Clint worked hard for us is an understatement. We arrived at Oak Ridge Resort at 6PM, called Clint as he had asked me to do to confirm that it was a 5AM start. To my suprise he says "lets start at 2AM and get a big one". My partner and I we're so excited we couldn't sleep. Clint wakes us up and away we went. By 2:45AM I had caught the biggest bass of my life. A 9lbs chunk off one of Clint's brush piles. And that was just the beginning. We caught fish off top water, drop shot and texas rig.

We caught close to 40 fish but none were more special then the (2)8lb bass my partner caught back to back. He had never caught a bass over 3lbs before, and to see the excitement on his face was priceless. Clint worked hard to put him on those fish. He knew what that would mean to him and he did it, not once but 2 in a row!!

I'd have to say Clint was the hardest working most persistant fishing guide I have ever been with. At one point after 6hrs of fishing, we were run off the lake because of weather and I'm sure some guides would have called it a day. Not Clint, he said "go get some rest and lets hit it again when it clears". That was above and beyond what we expected.

As I told Clint, I barely slept in 24 hrs. When the trip was over you would think I would fall asleep before my head hit the pillow. I found myself not able to sleep, but thinking of how I could use what I learned at my home lake. The different techniques I'd seen on TV or read about, he showed first hand and was extremley patient. Clint was constently keeping our baits fresh, making sure we were in the right spot, even restrung my partners reel with his line.

I could go on and on but the bottom line is Clint fished with us as we were his friends that he was taking fishing, not 5AM to 3PM clients. He put myself and my parner on the biggest fish we've caught and taught us more then I could have ever expected. I'd say we got our moneys worth.

As long as he's guiding on Fork I'll be his client!

Thanks Clint....You are the man!!
