My enthusiasm for dogs started when my parents bought me a show quality Golden Retriever puppy when I was a child. I went to a few puppy matches and dogs shows and was hooked on a life with dogs. After graduating from college, I obtained my first Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Am.-Can. Ch. Brynlea Can U Keep A Secret, ROM, in 1990. With the help and mentorship of Keeper's breeder, my involement with Pembroke Welsh Corgis has grown into a lifetime love for the breed. In 2000, I became a member of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America. I am also a member of the Gaitway Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Greater St. Louis and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Western Reserve. Over the last 18 years not only have many Keepsake Pembrokes been wonderful pets and companion for their owners, many have obtained their American and Canadian championships, obedience titles and agility titles. I have had the thrill to be breeder/owner or co-owner on several specialty winning corgis.

In my breeding program, I strive to produce beautiful dogs of correct corgi type and sound temperaments. All of the Pembroke Welsh Corgis that are included in my breeding program have been certified free of inherited eye problems by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF) and certified free of hip dysplasia by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). In addition, my dogs have been DNA tested for von Willebrand's Disease (vWD).

All prospective buyers are asked to answer my Prospective Puppy Buyer Questionnaire. Each home is carefully screened and pet puppies are chosen and placed in homes suitable for both the new owners and the puppy. All pet puppies are sold on spay/neuter contracts and on AKC Limited Registration.
