2011 MUSTANG DANCE TEAM AUDITIONS ANNOUNCED!

Calling all Dancers, Cheerleaders, & Models in the
Chicagoland area! We are holding auditions for the
2011 season for the Chicago Mustang Dancers.

The Chicago Mustangs Dance Team includes:

- Appear on the 2011 Dance Team Calendar and other media
- Perform for Football fans at all Mustang home games!
- Make personal appearances throughout the community!
- Receive professional dance training!
- Bring smiles to fans of all ages!
- Make new and lifelong friends!

General Information & Requirements:

- Candidates must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and must be a high school graduate or have a GED by the audition date in order to participate. No exceptions will be made.
- Please bring a photo ID.
- There is no maximum age limit and we do not have a weight or height requirement.
- Auditions will not be open for public viewing. Only participants and authorized personnel will be permitted into the audition facility.
- You must live in (or relocate to) the Chicagoland area and have reliable transportation.
- Must be available for all rehearsals, Chicago Mustang promotional appearances, and home games.
- Complete an audition registration packet.
- Bring a 5x7 or larger headshot/photo with a completed application. This will not be returned.
- Professional and/or Dance Resumé will be accepted along with a completed audition application, but are not required.

Attire & Appearance

• You may wear workout/performance attire and non-marking dance shoes for the audition.
• We ask that all candidates wear black dance/yoga pants with a cropped performance top. Your outfit should complement and enhance your figure.
• Your cropped sports top should be fit to your body. No over sized shirts or tanks.
• Your hair must be styled down and make-up should be done in a “glamorous” fashion.
• A neat and polished appearance is best. Think “performance” ready!
Tips
• Be sure to bring warm-ups, as it will get cool during the waiting periods. You should also bring plenty to drink and a small snacks.
• Take a studio dance class. This will help if you have not been active in dance or fitness.
• Stretch everyday leading up to the audition. This will help for the days after the audition process.
• Practice your hair and make-up for the audition. You will be active for the entire audition process.
• Seek professional assistance from stylists/make-up artists to help you prepare for vigorous dancing and sweating.

Tentative Audition Itinerary:

A dance combination will be taught during the audition process. There may be a freestyle dance segment to showcase your personal style or special talents. Also, a Q&A segment will take place with a small panel of judges. Participants will be asked to perform the combination in small groups. Tabulations will be made throughout the day and two rounds of eliminations will take place. You will be judge by your poise, confidence, dance ability, showmanship, appearance, application, and level of physical fitness. By the end of the day, the Final Chicago Mustang Dancers will be selected for the 2011 season.

ABOUT OUR DANCE TEAM:

The Chicago Mustang Dancers are a select group of talented and inspiring individuals that love to dance, performing, and represent a positive football organization.
The Chicago Mustang Football & Dance Organizations will be entering into our 3rd Season as some of the Mid-State Football Leagues Leading Ladies.

The Chicago Mustang Dancers have the opportunity to not only be a part of the Chicago Mustang Football Organization and the Mid-State Football League, but to create friendships that will last a lifetime. The blend of personalities lends to the creation of a well-rounded and unique squad.

The Chicago Mustang Dancers are comprised of 14 females from all around the Chicago land area. The backgrounds of the Mustang dancers includes professional dancers, college cheerleaders, professional models, singers, actresses, pageant title holders, and performers.
It takes dedication, determination, and discipline to become a cheerleader.

The dancers rehearse twice a week for 4 hours a night all year long. All rehearsals are mandatory. In addition to performing at all Chicago Mustang home games, the dancers appear at special events, grand openings, corporate meetings, charitable & fundraising functions, conventions, trade shows, state and county fairs, other sporting events and many other promotional functions.

Each year, the Chicago Mustang Dancers will be featured in an annual team poster. We are excited for the upcoming season and we are looking forward to expanding the Chicago Mustang Football Organization to great heights!
