Why we Choose to Breed English Labs & Goldens
Before you read much further let me tell you about my Dogs ! And Also why we choose to only breed English Labs & English Golden Retrievers. ENGLISH BRED DOGS HAVE TO BE TESTED BEFORE A PEDIGREE IS ISSUED, ITS A SHAME U.S. DOES NOT HAVE THIS REGULATION !( They are healthier & are not plagued with Cancer issues like American Bred Golden Retriever , unfortunately and most Vets will agree; Goldens were so over bred in US so popular that people in bred them & passed on cancer genes thru out the Golden, skin issues too

The English Lab is a better dog , less hyper active, more mellow and better maintained by most English lab breeders, and unfortuntely The American Bred lab has
many hip and skin problems.

Fortunately for me, I buy my girls thru United Kingdom, England & Sweden Or a quality breeder in US that only breeds English type dogs.

All of my Dogs are Dual Registered

Both AKC and CKC

MY DOGS ARE NOT IN CAGES IN THE BACK YARD, but they are crate trained, THAT NEVER SEE THE LIKES OF GRASS OR HUMAN BONDING they are loved, played with every day, kept clean and all of their bedding and toys washed constantly, they are crate trained, They can come and go out the doggie door freely to the yard to play or come in and lay down and listen to animal planet on TV, they have access to my great room and back part of my home.

They live with me and are the best part of my life ! They have a 950 ft condo in back near the lake with radio, TV and a/c and heat.

All of my dogs are socialized with people that come to visit them and their pups. This is no back yard breeding facility, its a home with lots of little 4 legged feet running around all day.

They know my commands and listen very well. Ask anyone that has been here to see my dogs.

We live 5 acres on a Spring Fed Lake. After having and Breeding English Labs for years, I researched Labradoodles 9 years ago and was taken by their Personality, Quick learning ability and sweet nature. One litter and I was totally convinced this was a fabulous Pet for the entire family. Not to discount the Lab at all, I love them and my Standard Poodles too. But the Labradoodle is smarter and easier to train. My Doodles can out retrieve and swim my Labs.

Our Labradors are English Bred and out of Dogs such as The Best and Show Like Aquarias Center Court " BUZZ", Ch Dickedall Ruff, Dickendall Arnold the Top Dog ever ! What about BOB and more. Our Labs are Pricy and not your average Labrador. Good Breeding, Good health & best laid back personalitys.
Just ask and we will be glad to show you Our Girls Pedigree's at any time

We are among the few Breeders that do own Quality English Champion Sired Labs in our Doodle Program. There are some claiming to have English Dogs, but its hard to find

We have Pedigrees to Prove our Dogs Parents and DNA reg. with AKC. We take Pride in the Quality that we offer in raising the Finest English Labs and English Bred Labradoodles around.

We have a Vet come to Our Home
Dr Austin ,Dr Califf and now Dr McCullough come to my home to visit and take care of my Dogs needs. We also see Dr. Jennifer Day at John Young Animal Hospital and Dr Burton at Piedmont Wekiva Animal Facility. The Vet is here atleast once a month if not more when we need them.We spare no expense in the Well being of our Doodles, Poodles and Labs & Schnoodles. 1st generations may or may not shed, some of mine do and some do not, but nothing like the Lab coat.

Our Dogs are kept in a clean enviornment and never are left out side all day in the Heat or to get dieases etc.

Our Doodles vs Australian Doodles
Our Doodles are bred with English Labs and Goldens for 1st Generations, We have Australian Doodles also but they are proven to be healthy and free of Cockapoo lines and other dogs thatthe Australians bred into the lines to reduce the sizes and hair coats

We do not believe that the Cocker is the right choice for us and we are not fond of the history behind them in health issues and temperment

A RECENT PROBLEM CAME UP ABOUT THE ORIGINAL FOUNDS OF THE AUSTRALIAN DOODLES AND ITS BEEN HARD TO SWALLOW

They sold lots and lots of Dodles to U.S. breeders and turns out they falseified pedigrees, had loads of health issues with their dogs and actually sold the American Public a bill of goods. It has taken tons of research and corrections and false hopes too to get things back into a good breeding program, many an American Doodle breeder with Australian lines have had to face these issues and reven reently

I was very pleased that we never fell vistim to the Money making scheme with overseas breeders ; as we felt in the begining of our Breeding program we stick to what we know; English Labs and English bred Goldens

Recent events and even 2007 The Original Founder that took up residence in Brooksville Fla DUMPED 30 doodle dogs in Lake County Kill Animal Shelter ( this is no rrumor, I went to try and resuce them and some had already been there to save them. THey where abused Doodles and to think that I would want to associate myself with a despictable deed was too much for me to consume.

Because the Assocation has Australian Labradoodle attached to it I will not join and support these two founds, mother and daughter, in representing Doodles that they ruined , bred worngly and sold to U.S. breeders

With that said there are some wonderful breeders that have taken many painstaken yrs to correct ill issued pedigrees and bad breedings

And there are good clean lines out there today But you still have to be careful of who is breeding what

Keep in mind the First Labradoodle ever from Wally Conran was from Australia and his name was Sully

He was A Lab x Poodle

WE DID NOT JOIN THE INTERNATIONAL AUSTRALIAN LABRADOODLE ASSOCIATION also FEW REASONS, decided even though all our Doodles and Labs and Poodles are OFA, Eye Cerf and More.

It was not in my best interest or my vets interest to Spay & Neuter Early, Most Australian Doodle breeders ask
$ 2500.00 FOR DOODLES . We do not because we do have to

IF YOU ARE A MEMBER YOU MUST AGREE TO
THE BY LAWS and use the Australian Labradoodle Association Contract when selling your Puppies & not all pups are created equal , We would like to Govern our own Price on puppies

While there are Organizations that Specialize in Registry of the Australian Labradoodle, and we own three (3) it is nice to attend seminars and training sessions and get referral frm other breeders, however we have been established several yrs longer than most breeders and prefer to
do it our way.

An organization can give a breeder good advise, training seminars and more
create breeding standards that are necessary to breed by, help other members sell their dogs and refer customers, while here at Bay Lake we have created a swell reputation for fine quality Doodles and have many years of experience, and healthy doodles Its in our best interest to be independent breeder.

Your references from your Pet Owners speak volumnes and its a wise idea to talk to other customers that have bought our Doodles over last few years.

Thru several years of research, I came to realize you must start with excellent lines in your dogs before considering a breeding program

You will find that our Australian Doodles have excellent lines & health tested and came from some pretty swell Doodles, other wise we would not breed them.

We do Infuse them now with our English
Labradoodle lines from English healthy Labs & quality Poodles with fabulous pedigrees.

Some of our Australian Doodles like Maybelline ( Mabel) are from well know breeding stock that is extremely healthy...

Thank you

Thank you Quality Breeding Speaks Volumes Always Choose a Breeder that test their dogs and has good health records

You pay for what you get !

Today the Labradoodle is being bred by Serious Dog Breeders that test their dogs before breeding and making sure all the right avenues are taken before a breeding. But alot of Backyard breeders and puppy mills are breeding them too and not caring about health issues.

Not only is Health important. PERSONALITY MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN A LITTER OF PUPS. JUST BECAUSE THE DAM & SIRE LOOK GOOD AND PASS ALL THEIR TEST DOES NOT MEAN you should still breed the Dam to the Sire. If she is hyper active, the pups will be hyper, if he or she has aggressive problems the pups can be that way too.

NOTE: A good breeder will not pass on these bad traits to a litter of pups !

Backyard breeders are asking 500.00 -700.00 for pups could care less about test and personality. And that is why you have hyper active dogs, over shot mouths, bad hips and more.

Do not get taken in by a cheap dog, do your research please.

BEFORE YOU BUY ONE OF MY PUPS
I am a very particular Breeder that cares where my pups are placed. And if you are looking for good quality, healthy English Bred Labs to Champion Sired Poodles, health tested and guaranteed than you can start here.

If you want excellent References 5 miles long its us. If you want a lifetime of support and 2 yr health guarantee its us . If you ever have a problem later down road and want me to take your pup back or grown dog its us.

If you are looking for a Doggie for Christmas, I may not be the Breeder you want.

I will not sell pups for Christmas presents, I will place them in new homes at Christmas time to people that have assured me its for Family member and not just a present for the kids for the time being.

I WANT PEOPLE THAT BELIEVE DOGGIES ARE FAMILY MEMBERS TO BUY MY DOGS, NOT PEOPLE THAT THINK A DOG IS A DOG AND BELONGS IN BACKYARD ALL DAY !

If you are looking for Dog that will live outside and be left out all day, I am not your breeder.

If you work all day and no one is home to care for new pup I am not your breeder.

If you are not willing to take time to go to training classes, and spend quality time with your new pup, I prefer not to sell you a puppy.

Well trained pups make for life time members of the family. If you are wanting to care for this Pup and realize that he too will get older and not so active and still provide a good
home for him or her, I would love to talk to you.

People that do not train their dogs, like children ,need to know you will have destructive behavior and big problems down the road. The poor Dog ends up in a shelter because of neglectfull training.

I never want to see one of my Doodles or Schnoodles end up in shelter and I will take the puppy back due to unfortunate circumstances beyond your control and help you place dog/puppy in new home.

Here is a very sad Story below:

I was the joy in your eye and the kids best friend and I made everyone laugh and I was played with for long time. But... when I got older and could no longer climb the stairs and my hair was being to gray at an old age, you seemed to ignore me, you walked over me and said nothing, you never held me anymore, the kids grew up and left home and you and dad wanted to travel more. Instead of taking me like you use to, you left me alone for the vet to feed me.

One morning I saw you coming down the stairs with a big white towel and I thought of boy a bath ! something I always loved. Instead you scooped me up and put me in the car and said, " Sorry ole fella its time to go " I said hey ???? in my doggie mind. You carried me into to the local shelter and told them you had no more time for me !!! the people there looked at you and said at 8 ??? he still has alot of life left ! how come ? has he been in the family with you all this time ???? You said yes but... he is old now, I know you will find him a good home. The people said not often with an older dog sir !

Days went by and I laid in the cage and every time someone came to get a new dog, I ran to the front to greet them and say pick me pick me. No one did and as weeks went by I laid in the back and never got up to see again. I was crying a lot and my eyes were stained with tears and I did not want to eat anymore, I missed my people and my home so much, I missed my blanket and my stuffed toy, now all I have is cold cement floor, no rug no blanket no nothin, and in my mind I am saying why oh why, I never did anything wrong, I loved you people and you took me away to live like this !

One afternoon I was taken out of the cage and a nice lady hugged me & rubbed my ears and said it will be all better now, do not worry. As I felt the cold table and the needle pierce my front leg, it stung me and I cried out in my doggie manor and said why oh why ??? I hope my human family gets treated better than this when they are old and gray and can not find their way.

It happens all the Time- Marcia

Frequently asked Questions
One of the Main Questions I am asked about my Doodles is do they like children and do they get along well with other dogs ? " WELL EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY " Please view the New Owners page with lots of children and familys.

Do you recommend crate training ? Yes absolutely and Puppy School too. If you are not willing to take time with yor pup in training at School or Home you will have an undiciplined doggie Child just like in People Children. Dogs love to be trained and loved to please you !

What puppy books do you recommend ??
Puppys for Dummies and the book written by the Monks of Skete on Raising a Puppy. Excellent source of knowledge for you to train pup.

Are you a Kennel ??? No a private home with loving pets that are not caged all day. Crate trained yes at some parts of day and a Large Doggie Condo Built Special with A/C and a Futon and TV for Doggies enjoyment, never kept in cages with no exercise . All our dogs romp and play on our Lake front home during day and sleep in house and a large custom built kennel with a/c and heat like a Doggie Condo at night.

What dog food do your recommend ???
We like Kirkland Dog Food made by Diamond for Costco full of Vegtables etc and if we can we love Buffalo Blue and Natural Balance an all natural no corn no grains no by products.

Many a trainer has stated that too many People Humanize their dogs. Well... I am guilty of it and love to spoil my dogs, but they also know my voice commands and my authority, I am the Top Dog and they know it. But nothing is nicer than a great family pet that you consider one of the family. I think Dogs deserve to be Humanized and not treated like a yard dog personally. Then who am , EXCEPT TO TELL YOU what you see on my website is the way they live here at my home. There are no surprizes when you come here, you will see what others have come to realize, I am a swell breeder with alot of Fabulous Dogs !

QUALITY IS NOT EXPENSIVE IT IS PRICELESS WHEN BUYING A PUPPY

Why English Labs ? Why Great Pedigrees ?
Our Breeding Program is designed to Give you the Best Puppy & health guarantee to wonderful family's at a Reasonable Price. Our Doodles are of the Finest Quality English Labs in the US. All tested OFA & Eye Cerf and more

We offer you a world of references, calm, loving & sweet Labradoodles Our goal is to breed the best quality Australian & American Labradoodles.

THE FIRST ORIGINAL LABRADOODLE
WAS A LAB X POODLE BRED (see
Sultans Picture Below)

Today American Breeders are breeding both the American Labradoodle & the Australian Labradoodle for many reasons below.

AMERICAN BRED LABRADOODLES VS AUSTRALIAN BRED LABRADOODLES ???

The older lines of Australian Labradoodles have too many health issues and were riddled with questionable pedigrees produced
in Australia. Some American
breeders today are trying to
create a better Labradoodle by infusing both Australian &
American bred lines together
and are too, if THE PARENT
BREEDS ARE FAR REMOVED FROM 5 DIFFERENT TYPES OF DOGS USED
IN THE LINES AS ONCE DONE IN
THE BEGINING, too many issues
and questionable pedigrees that
were produced directly from
Australia created a frenzy here
in US

Again, We will only infuse the Australian & American Bred Doodle
into our lines if all the parents
are non related and have the highest ratings of health test used to create an Australian Doodle

We own 3 Australian Fleece Coat Doodles and they are wonderful, they where bred with quality parents and not
health issues.

The Labradoodle is a fabulous Doodle and is the best of both worlds.
Smart and Intelligent

We have helped many breeders
that have Australian Labradoodles
correct some coat problems,
temperment problems and health problems by letting them breed
with our Dogs,
WE WANT OUR LABRADOODLE BUYERS TO KNOW
WHAT THEY ARE GETTING AND WHAT LINES ARE IN THE DOGGIES WE PRODUCE

WE DO HAVE A WAITING LIST AND MOST TIME MY PUPS ARE SOLD BEFORE THEY ARE BORN, BUT IF MOMMY DOG HAS MORE PUPS THAN I EXPECT WE WILL HAVE SOME AVAILABLE PLEASE WRITE ME

We Encourage you to read our Reference
page from people over the years that have bought our dogs.

***
Labradoodle History & Origin

The History of the LABRADOODLE

(I am asked everyday about the Confusion over US Labradoodles & Australian Labradoodles)

Also the American Bred Golden Retriever
and the English Bred Cream Golden Retriever are different. The English Cream Retriever has less genetic problems and does not carry the Cancer gene( like the American Bred Golden Retriever does. Be Careful when selecting a a Golden Doodle, we only bred the English Cream for better health clearances

Recent Article on Cancer issues:
Recent surveys show that cancer is the #1 cause of death in golden retrievers. Their cancer rates equal some of the breeds long thought to lead the way in incidents of cancer, such as Boxers. This may be the greatest tragedy of the golden retriever since the 1990s. Cancers such as hemangiosarcoma (cancer of the blood) and lymphosarcoma (cancer of the lymphatic system) lead the list of killers of goldens. We strongly believe that goldens should be long-lived (12-16 years) and healthy and active during most of this time.

These are not myths they are unfortunatelty true and in US breeders
have ruined alot of Pure Bred dogs that we once loved and cherished so much. This is why your mix breed dogs are so much sweeter, live longer and have less health problems

Several years ago in the late 70'S a trainer for the Royal Guide Dogs Association crossed a Labrador Retriever and a Standard Poodle in the attempt to create an allergy friendly dog for a buyer with severe allergy's.

The trainer, Wally Conran, called his creation the Labradoodle. He went on to breed Labradoodles to Labradoodles which he called DoubleDoodles and DoubleDoodles to DoubleDoodles which he called Tri Doodles.

The thought of creating a wonderful and highly intelligent and trainable dog companion with allergy friendly, non shedding coat is being continued by a number of highly qualified, conscientious U.S. Breeders & Aust Breeders.

Labradoodle Breeders across the US
and Australia have made the Labradoodle what it is today

Originally the Founders used several Dogs to create the Australian Labradoodle. Now Multi Generations are Bred Labradoodle back to Poodle, Doodle to Doodle to create a Wonderful Dog

Parent Breeds of the Australian Labradoodle were as follows:
1. Poodle (Standard, Miniature, Toy),
2. Labrador Retriever,
3. Irish Water Spaniel,
4. Curly Coat Retriever,
5. American Cocker Spaniel and
6. English Cocker Spaniel.

The Very First Labradoodle was Poodle & Lab only. Not until some owners of Teagan Park ( now out of business ) and Rutland Manor did the American public get to know the Labradoodle Unfortuantely they bred and infused alot of breeds into the line creating some serious health issues, selling their breeding stock to American Australian Doodle breeders untested, wrong pedigree info and incorrect Dam & Sire information finally was announced

I am very Proud of our English Lab Parent dogs , they are stockier healthier and a prettier Lab IMO and Standard Poodles, as I will stand behind my pedigrees and my parent dogs.

Always buy from an ethical Breeder with excellent references, past & present .

It makes all the difference in the world.

What is a Double Doodle ?

A Double Doodles is also also known as North American Retriever. A hybrid cross of a Goldendoodle & Labradoodle and many Labradoodle and Goldendoodle breeders have crissed them over the yrs
People that love both the Golden and the Lab will oove the combination

We are often asked, "Which is better, a labradoodle or a goldendoodle?"
Both make wonderful companions as well as therapy & guide dogs. The
biggest difference is in their coats. We have found that most times a F1B
labradoodle and a F1 goldendoodle have very similar coats.

By breeding an F1B labradoodle and a F1 goldendoodle we are able to
combine wonderful personalities while producing the more sought after, soft fleece, low to non shedding coat. They are a combination of
Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever and Poodle all in one! Double
Doodles (or North American Retrievers) look very much like a Goldendoodle

Coats:

1st Generation is Shaggy, the F1B or 2nd Generation is Fleecy and can have loose curls and so is the 3rd & Multi Generation and can be more Wooly Coat.
But also very silky and fleecy coated

Multi Generation can be more Wool Coat and Fleece also using a Labradoodle back to Labradoodles or too much Poodle

The wonderful loving Lab Personality and Poodle create that hybrid vigor.
As does the English Cream Golden Retriever with a Standard poodle, Healthy non related parents bringing forth an excellent dog that is not over bred like so many Pure Breds now.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours,
Faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it
To him to be worthy of such devotion.

Health Guarantee & Recommended Shots
New Shot Vaccine Protocol

Your vet may not like this but its important that you over vaccinated can cause alot of problems

In a 9 yr old dog a Titer was done to see what vaccines still showed up from Puppy Lepto shot dome at 8 wks and low and behold it was still in his system

Read Carefully Please:

Vaccinations - Do's and Dont's-

- Please be informed about the new protocol taught at vet schools regarding schedules and frequency of vaccinations for puppies and dogs. Read how over-vaccination can affect your dog. The new vaccinations protocol is on the chart below, from the important article written by Dr Jean Dodds, world-renown vaccine research scientist and practicing veterinarian. More info here: http://www.itsfortheanimals.com/DODDS-CHG-VACC-PROTOCOLS.HTM and in the Links page. Since our puppies leave soon after they are 8 weeks old we vaccinate them with Intervet Progard Parvo and Distemper a few days prior to leaving, to avoid adding to the trip/new home stress. We can send puppies home without vaccines only if new owner requests it in writing ahead of time.

Age of puppies
Type of vaccine

9- 10 weeks
Distemper + Parvovirus ( Intervet Progard Puppy DPV)

16 -18 weeks (optional)
Same

24 weeks or older, if allowable by law
Rabies

1 year
Distemper + Parvovirus ( Intervet Progard Puppy DPV)

1 year
Rabies 3 year

- Don't take your puppy under 16 weeks to dog shows, highway rest areas, parks or other places frequented by other dogs. Same goes for you, stay away from the previously mentioned places and kennels/dog shelters where you can pick up infections and bring them home in your shoes, etc. The first vaccine a puppy receives does not cover him 100% and he can catch parvovirus, which can be fatal for a young pup. Avoiding exposure is the first and best prevention.

- Don't allow your puppy to receive more than two vaccines at the same time, the combination vaccines: 5 in 1, "Puppy Shots", etc are to be avoided. Vaccines challenge the immune system in a complex way and injecting several at the same time is a major attack to the immune system from which many puppies can't ever recover, leaving puppies with lifelong allergies and chronic problems. Read our Vaccine Quotables page for conscientious vets' opinions.

- Don't vaccinate your puppy when stressed or sick.

- It's been proven that over-vaccination (yearly boosters) produces chronic diseases. Avoid unnecessary vaccinations.

-If you must take a young puppy to the vet's make sure the clinic has not had any cases of parvo recently. Even though vet offices are disinfected routinely they are the most likely places to expose your puppy to disease. More info on Parvovirus here: http://www.ambertech.com/whatisp.php

While we offer a two year health guarantee to you and some breeders do or do not, we also offer a Lifetime of Support and help thru out your dogs life.

YOU SHOULD REALIZE THAT NO HUMAN IS PERFECT AND NO DOG IS PERFECT. We take special measures in testing our dogs for Hips, Eye and any well known genetic disorder. And that is way it should be. We only purchase English Labs or English Golden Creams that are from the best in the Country and healthy and tested.

But... and I say but because dogs can develop allergies just like people, as they age your dog can become slower and his or her health is important to keep up with, dogs can gets cancer and all sorts of unwanted problems. Again no dogs is perfect but we go the extra mile to try and ensure that you know we only breed Excellent Healthy dogs from the start, trying to avoid hips problems and eye problems and more.

Recent Vet Statement & Cancer in Goldens
CANCER IN GOLDENS :

GOLDEN DOODLES and GOLDEN RETRIEVERS Cancer issues: A REAL EYE OPENER

My recent Study and Investigation into the CANCER ISSUE with Golden Retrievers
has really opened my eyes. I have also had several several people contact me with sad storys this year about losing their GOLDEN DOODLE TO CANCER !
At 1 yr old, 2 yrs and 4 yrs Way too young !

I received this email in Aug 2009 from a concerned Golden Doodle owner its heartbreaking; I was just looking at the info on your website. Interesting that you mentioned cancer - We just lost our 18 -month old goldendoodle (from Indiana) to an aggressive bone cancer (osteosarcoma). He was the BEST DOG EVER! We miss him terribly and my husband is interested in a puppy from you

Also rec'd call from lady today that lost her 19 mo old Golden Retriever to bone cancer !

Way too many familys investing in loving this wonderful Dog and losing them. Please talk with your vet about Cancer in Goldens before you buy a Golden Doodle. Being a Hybrid does not keep these Doodles from getting the cancer gene.

We have been very selective in our Search for the Golden Retrievers that
do not have parents with Cancer issues
That is why we breed English Cream Retrievers Imported only

While we love them we have felt the Labradoodle was a healthier breed of
Doodle and will always breed English Champion Sired Labradoodles

Golden Doodles are comical and loving but I must say that when asked the difference my Labradoodles mind better while I find some of my Goldendoodles are little more stubborn and can be hyper active too IMO. Both Dogs are great and loving but I would not feel right if I did not write about the differences I have come to know

In 2007. Dr. J Moller taught genetics at University of Ill and was at a recent seminar here in Fla. Among some of the things he pointed out was that
while its nice to have Pure Bred Dog knowing the outcome and look and temperment.

" American Breeders are slowly killing the Purebred by in breeding and health issues in the dogs. " Years ago he said that Pure breds lived alot longer than they do today, If some breeders would wake up and introduce another line into the American Bred Golden Retrievers to try and get rid of the cancer issues that these dogs are dying of at 3-4-5 and 7 yrs old age
they could create a healthier Golden Retriever.

Sad but true ! The Golden Retriever & American Lab ( way too hyper active for me by the way ) were so popular for last 25 yrs that American Breeders over bred them . And hence ruined the breed.

Facts about Pet Shop Puppies
DOCUMENTED FACTS ABOUT PET SHOP PUPPIES

A man and his family came to me last week and bought a Golden Doodle to replace the one that died purchased at a Pet Store called PETLAND

He bought a Goldendoodle at this shop
In Sarasota Fla

Another Man in Canada bought a Schnoodle last winter from me because his Pet Shop puppy died of Parvo within 5 days of getting puppy- and the list goes on and on

July /2008 :

54 Golden Doodles Rescued from Breeder in Marathon Florida living in a warehouse with no windows or air, Pups weer taken to Shelter and most all asopted in couple days. Thank goodness
Breeders like this should have to be forced to live in same conditions !

Regardless of how clean the Pet shop looks these Puppies come in in crates and truck loads from up North. Do not believe anything they tell you

The puppy was rushed to emergency clinic after 3 days and died
After intense IV and procedures to try and save the poor litle thing- The Family was devastated.

Most of pups come from Puppy Mills in Missouri and are sick sick dogs
These puppies are from nasty conditions, sick parents and related parent dogs, they do not care about conditions when breeding for profit and 7 out of 10 pet shop dogs die from all kinds of illness !

Always buy from a reputable breeder Please !

Labradoodle: DESIGNER OR GOOD SENSE

Surprising New Info about Children, Allergies and Pets
by Susan Dunn, MA Clinical Psychology

Have you wondered whether to get your child a pet or not? Does your family
have a history of allergies and have you been told by your pediatrician it’s not a
good idea?
There’s interesting news from the Medical College of George (MCG), evidence
from a new study about children and pets published in the Journal of the
American Medical Association that having pets may actually help with allergies.
Dr. Dennis R. Ownby, chief of MCG’s Section of Allergy and immunology has
followed 474 babies from birth to age 7 and has found that children exposed to two or more in-door pets were half as likely to develop common allergies.
“Allergists have been trained for generations that dogs and cats in the house are bad because they increase the risk of you becoming allergic to them; we know that before you become allergic to something, you have to be repeatedly exposed to it.”
He and his staff were just as surprised at the results of their study as you may be reading it! “The data didn’t look the way it was supposed to; as a matter of fact, it
was very strongly the opposite of what we expected to find,” said Ownby.
Ownby speculates that the reason so many kids have allergies and asthma now is because we live too clean a life. When kids play with cats and dogs, he says, they get licked. And that lick transfers a lot of Gram-negative bacteria that may change the way the child’s immune system responds, says Ownby. The “lick” gives them exposure to higher
levels of what’s called “endotoxins,” the breakdown toxin from the Gram-negative
bacteria.
According to an article from the Medical College of Georgia, studies from southern Germany and Switzerland are confirming that children of farmers, regularly exposed to animals, have less allergies than city kids.
Check it out with your pediatrician, but it may be getting a pet or two would be beneficial for your children's allergy resistance, as well as all the other benefits

We do not Remove Due Claws & Do Not Fix Our Pups before Leaving
Here is Why & Many a Vet will agree while there are some that are willing to do it for a breeder for a fee of course;

I don't remove dew claws, very barbaric procedure with puppies awake screaming...You are amputating a toe! Most are jointed which means dislocating them and then severing them away from the body, We never had a problem with a torn dew claw .

We do not believe in Early Spay and Nueter This being said We have a Contract that ask you must do it by 8-10 months old and do follow up on them and if not done there would be monitary concequences. As young as 4 mos is too early as far as I am concerned. I withhold registrations/pedigrees until proof is given to me.

They are mammals and the same issues would apply ;). If you were to remove the ovaries and testicals of a human infant what do you think would NOT happen or what would NOT develop....no scondary sex characteristics ( muscle mass, gentailia changes), growth plate closure delays, mental immaturity etc etc.....there is literature on this the list goes on. You also take away the chance that "nature" will correct some problems with normal hormones, ie inverted vulva with UTI issues in females setting hips better with testosterone broading rears and chest etc.

What is a Double Doodle
Written by Helene at Westwood Labradoodles

Best of Both Worlds !

North American Retrievers, also known as 'Double Doodles', are the up
and coming hybrid! A North American Retriever is the hybridization of
a Labradoodle with a Goldendoodle. A few breeders have begun doing
this.

As with any hybrid, one of the first and most important questions to be
asked is, "why"? Hybridization should be done only if there is a clear
goal in mind.

In this case, we are striving to do what many service organizations
have been doing for years....combine the people-oriented, personable
character of the Golden Retriever with the work ethic and energy of the
Labrador Retriever. Service organizations have been breeding and
using the Golden/Lab mixes with great success for quite some time.
They have GREAT temperaments. However, as with both Labs and
Goldens, they are not a good choice for those suffering from an allergy
to dogs. That's where the poodle comes in! Our Goldendoodles and
Labradoodles have been bred to include the low allergy, non-shed coat
qualities of the Poodle, so we expect our North American Retrievers to
have the same great fleece coats as their parents.
