Who is Arissa?
Arissa is defined by many words: Mother, Daughter, Follower of Christ, Passionate, Creative, Hyper, and Super Fast Talker...

I have two children, one daughter who is 10 years old named Abbey, and one son who is 3 years old named Stone. They light up my life, and inspire me to want to be better at everything I do.

What Makes Arissa's Creative Photography Different?
My heart and passion lie in helping my clients find the beauty that lies inside them. Every person on this earth has something special about them, and I make it my purpose to find what that is, and bring it out in your portraits. When I first began photography years ago I was shocked at the response that I would get during a viewing session. The first time that someone cried because they actually "felt" beautiful in their portraits, made my heart melt. We all get worn down in life between our jobs, children, and just the stress of everyday life. Photographing the moments and chapters of your life has changed my life and my clients lives forever. Watching mothers cry tears of joy as they view their children's Senior Portraits, or watching children cry or smile while viewing their parents 50th wedding anniversay portraits,those are the moments that life is made of. To hear someone say that feel like they look beautiful for the first time in their life, creates a drive in me to want to create more of those times. The spark in those words is what has driven me to continue on photographing countless people in an attempt to make everyone feel beautiful, and to help everyone to "pause" in their lives to see what chapter they are on, and how far they have come.

Giving Back
I have spent years as a single mother and as a result am dedicated to helping single mothers in the Kansas City area. If you are a single mother and are interested in receiving a FREE photoshoot of your family, please send me an e-mail with your information and a few paragraph's on your story. I select 5 single mothers every year to photograph for free. If you are selected you will get a free 2 hour session and CD with up to 20 portraits on it.

I remember all the years as a single mother, the ups and downs, and how I wished I would have had more pictures with my children, with me in them. But the finances were rarely available to get professional portraits taken. Let me bless you and your children with a family portrait!
